Welcome to Our First Lock!

Welcome to the very first post from YouBettor!! This will be the place to come for free, thought based analysis, along with a little computer analysis sprinkled in. We are firm believers in using the element of technology when betting, but really relying on intuition as well. We’ll look at stats, injuries, weather, etc., for all of our analysis—but we’ll also use the human element; particularly emotion. No, not our emotion; we’re talking about the emotion of the game—this is where we feel we can get our edge!

So, welcome to the show, have a great time, win lots of money, and remember, “Don’t get bitter, get bettor!”

For our very first pick, we will look at the Georgia (-14.5) and Kentucky game slated for Saturday night at 7PM, on ESPN. Right now, the over/under for this matchup is at 47.5. Both of these teams are undefeated and this looks to be a “Prove it” game for Kentucky—are they for real?? We think they are and we think Georgia (-646) is in a prime spot for an upset.

Georgia has been playing complacent football and this will be its first true challenge of the season. They’re averaging nearly 40 points per game and only giving up 13. Meanwhile, Kentucky (+450) has been looking very strong all year—they’re averaging 37 points per game and giving up about 15.

Kentucky hasn’t had mind blowing numbers, but they look like a tough football team.
The game will be played in Athens and Georgia will have the fans going wild for their first true test. We think this game will be tough, low-scoring game and Kentucky is going to keep it close. While we aren’t going to say Kentucky is going to win outright, it may be worth throwing a little cash at that tempting moneyline.

The bet: Take Georgia moneyline, but Kentucky and the points—also, we LOVE the under in this one!

Bonus bet: We LOVE the over (60.5) in the Red River Rivalry with Texas and Oklahoma having a shootout—we wouldn’t be surprised if they scored a hundred!
