Week 3 Best Bets!

Alright, alright, alright!  Last week, in our confident picks, we went a solid 3-0!!  Just to refresh your memory, OSU was a -19.5 favorite over Purdue, FSU was a -17.5 favorite over Syracuse, and Duke was a  -3.5 favorite over NC State.  These picks didn’t just hit, they gave you, the bettor, some stress relief, EARLY!  Who wants to sit and watch (And stress about) games that may or may not hit on the bets you’ve placed?!  It is very nice to sometimes have a time when things go smooth the WHOLE game.  These 3 games left you with absolutely no doubt that you were going to win and, my oh my, did that feel great!!

Anyway, that was last week and we’re on to this week.  As I look at what is on the docket for this week, there is one game that sticks out fairly clearly to me: The Oklahoma-UCF matchup.  Right now, the Sooners are -19 point favorites, at home.  To me, this one is just too easy.  After coming off that big win against Texas to prove themselves as legit, OK had an extra week to prep what they’re going to do to UCF.  In my mind, I don’t see UCF being able to hold up against this Sooner offense or defense.  I see BIG things for the Sooners on Saturday!

On top of this, I am looking at the Michigan-MSU game and all I can think about is the tunnel incident from last year.  If you’re not familiar with it, Google it….I’ll wait.  The Wolverines (-24.5) are going to be watching that tunnel video on replay all week and are going to be very motivated to show who’s boss!  I know that Jim Harbaugh is going to have this team fired up and running on all cylinders against Sparty—and the word around the campfire is that Sparty fans have been selling their tickets in bunches due to the pending beatdown.  What this means is, essentially, this will be a home game for Big Blue.  I look for Michigan to ground and pound the Spartans into oblivion.

As for my bonus parlay pick this week; on top of adding Michigan (-24.5) and Oklahoma (-19) to the ticket, consider adding a really underrated Arkansas (-6.5) team against Mississippi State team to your parlay for total odds of the 3 leg parlay at +588.  If you’re feeling really frisky, add Missouri (-7.5) to bring the odds to +1283—but only risk what you can afford!

To be honest, another game to keep an eye on is the Duke-FSU game.  Duke is a huge underdog in this matchup and by no means am I saying Duke (+13.5) is going to win, but I definitely think they’ll make it tough.  They have proven themselves to be very solid on defense and FSU hasn’t blown me away against the stiffer competition, so I think Duke covers this one. Take that for what you will.

Lock: Oklahoma -19

Bonus: Michigan -24.5

Parlay: Oklahoma -19, Michigan -24.5, and Arkansas -6.5

Bonus Parlay: Oklahoma -19, Michigan -24.5, Arkansas -6.5, and Missouri -7.5

Keep An Eye On: Duke +13.5

Week 2 Best Bets

Welcome back to YouBettor!! Last week we gave you two bets and we ‘LOVED’ both of them. Unfortunately, only one of them panned out—maybe we should go easy with the lovin’ this week. But, nevertheless, we hope you came out ahead whether you went with us, against us, or something totally unrelated, we want you to win money!!

This week, we are going to take a look at Ohio St. and their matchup with Purdue. As a Michigan fan, I couldn’t despise a team any more than I do Ohio, but, as a betting man, I have to respect their abilities. And this week will be no different—we are going to take Ohio St. (-19.5) in West Lafayette. Even though this is on Purdue’s home turf, we take the Bucks BIG in this—like 4 touchdowns big!

Ohio is starting to click at the time when Purdue looked pathetic against a lethargic Iowa team. If Ryan Day has shown us anything at all, it’s that he does NOT like the disrespect his team has been shown and he is on a mission to make a statement! After the huge win against a really good, 5-0 Maryland team, look for the Bucks to continue to steamroll their competition until they face the Nittany Lions and the big GAME at the end of the regular season in MIIIIICHIGAN.

At 2-4, look for Purdue to continue to tumble to the bottom of the Big Ten standings. Bucks big in this one!

As for the bonus this week, I absolutely like the Seminoles at Florida State (-17.5) to trounce a Syracuse team that just got hammered by North Carolina. FSU is coming off of a beatdown of Virginia Tech and won’t be letting off the throttle anytime soon. Seminoles with a three touchdown win here, all day.

The bet: Take OSU -19.5 and bet the farm (Not literally, only what you can afford to risk!)!

Bonus bet: FSU looks to continue to roll to 6-0 this week—take -17.5! Parlay Option: Look at OSU (-19.5), FSU (-17.5), and as an extra, Duke (-3.5) for a total of +581.

If you’re feeling frisky with your parlay, we like the underdog Texas A&M Aggies (+3.5) to win straight up against a lackluster Tennessee team. If you add the Aggies to the above Parlay on the money line (+146), you’re moving your parlay odds to +1576!! Maybe worth a few bucks?

Remember, you can’t win them all, but we still want to help get close! Don’t get bitter, get bettor!!

Welcome to Our First Lock!

Welcome to the very first post from YouBettor!! This will be the place to come for free, thought based analysis, along with a little computer analysis sprinkled in. We are firm believers in using the element of technology when betting, but really relying on intuition as well. We’ll look at stats, injuries, weather, etc., for all of our analysis—but we’ll also use the human element; particularly emotion. No, not our emotion; we’re talking about the emotion of the game—this is where we feel we can get our edge!

So, welcome to the show, have a great time, win lots of money, and remember, “Don’t get bitter, get bettor!”

For our very first pick, we will look at the Georgia (-14.5) and Kentucky game slated for Saturday night at 7PM, on ESPN. Right now, the over/under for this matchup is at 47.5. Both of these teams are undefeated and this looks to be a “Prove it” game for Kentucky—are they for real?? We think they are and we think Georgia (-646) is in a prime spot for an upset.

Georgia has been playing complacent football and this will be its first true challenge of the season. They’re averaging nearly 40 points per game and only giving up 13. Meanwhile, Kentucky (+450) has been looking very strong all year—they’re averaging 37 points per game and giving up about 15.

Kentucky hasn’t had mind blowing numbers, but they look like a tough football team.
The game will be played in Athens and Georgia will have the fans going wild for their first true test. We think this game will be tough, low-scoring game and Kentucky is going to keep it close. While we aren’t going to say Kentucky is going to win outright, it may be worth throwing a little cash at that tempting moneyline.

The bet: Take Georgia moneyline, but Kentucky and the points—also, we LOVE the under in this one!

Bonus bet: We LOVE the over (60.5) in the Red River Rivalry with Texas and Oklahoma having a shootout—we wouldn’t be surprised if they scored a hundred!
